Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using WorkaGH.
โ ๏ธ IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: WorkaGH is 100% FREE for job seekers. We will NEVER ask you to pay to view or apply for jobs. If anyone claiming to be from WorkaGH requests payment from job seekers, it is a SCAM. Report it immediately to support@workagh.com.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the WorkaGH website (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
WorkaGH reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Description of Service
WorkaGH is a job board platform designed for Ghana that connects employers with job seekers. The Service allows:
- Job Seekers: To browse job listings and contact employers directly via phone
- Employers: To post job listings for a fee
Job seekers can use WorkaGH completely free of charge with NO registration required.
3. User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to post jobs on WorkaGH. Job seekers of any age may browse listings, but if you are under 18, you should use the Service with parental guidance.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- All information you provide is accurate and truthful
4. Job Posting Rules for Employers
4.1 Prohibited Content
When posting a job, you agree NOT to:
- Post fake, fraudulent, or misleading job listings
- Request payment from job seekers to apply for jobs
- Post jobs that promote illegal activities
- Include discriminatory language based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, or any protected class
- Post adult/explicit content or jobs related to illegal substances
- Misrepresent job details, pay, or requirements
- Harvest personal information from job seekers for unauthorized purposes
- Post jobs outside of Ghana (WorkaGH is Ghana-only)
4.2 Required Information
All job postings must include:
- Accurate job title and description
- Location within Ghana
- Pay range or rate (encouraged for transparency)
- Valid contact phone number
4.3 Payment for Job Postings
Employers must pay the posted fee to publish a job listing:
- GHS 5 for 7 days visibility
- GHS 15 for 30 days visibility
Payment is processed through Paystack. Once payment is confirmed, the job is published immediately and fees are non-refundable unless there is a technical error on our part.
4.4 Job Listing Duration & Removal
Jobs remain active for the purchased duration (7 or 30 days). After expiry, jobs are automatically removed. WorkaGH reserves the right to remove any job listing at any time for violating these Terms, suspected fraud, or safety concerns.
5. User Conduct
All users (job seekers and employers) agree to:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Not engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful behavior
- Not attempt to hack, scrape, or interfere with the Service
- Not impersonate WorkaGH or any other person/entity
- Not spam or send unsolicited communications through the platform
- Respect the privacy and rights of other users
6. WorkaGH’s Rights and Responsibilities
6.1 Content Moderation
WorkaGH reserves the right (but is not obligated) to:
- Monitor and review job postings for compliance with these Terms
- Remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable laws
- Suspend or ban users who violate these Terms
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement
6.2 No Employment Relationship
WorkaGH is a platform only. We do NOT:
- Employ job seekers or employers
- Guarantee job placements or hires
- Verify employer credentials or job authenticity (though we monitor for scams)
- Act as an employment agency or recruiter
- Participate in employment negotiations or disputes
6.3 Safety Monitoring
While we monitor for scams and fraudulent activity, WorkaGH cannot guarantee the safety or legitimacy of all job postings. Users are responsible for their own due diligence.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on WorkaGH (design, logo, text, code, graphics) is owned by WorkaGH or licensed to us. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission
- Use our logo or branding without written consent
- Reverse engineer or scrape the website
Job postings submitted by employers remain the property of the employer, but by posting, you grant WorkaGH a license to display, distribute, and promote the job listing.
8. Privacy & Data Protection
Your use of WorkaGH is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Job Seeker Privacy: We do NOT collect personal information from job seekers unless you voluntarily contact us.
Employer Privacy: Your contact phone number will be publicly visible on your job listing. Your payment information is securely processed by Paystack and NOT stored by WorkaGH.
9. Payment Terms
9.1 Payment Processing
All payments are processed through Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. By making a payment, you agree to Paystack’s terms and conditions.
9.2 Refund Policy
No refunds are provided for job postings once they are published, except in cases of:
- Technical errors on our part that prevent job publication
- Duplicate charges due to system errors
To request a refund for technical errors, contact support@workagh.com within 48 hours of payment with your payment reference number.
9.3 Pricing Changes
WorkaGH reserves the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes apply to future job postings only, not to already-published listings.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
WorkaGH is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of job listings
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Security of data transmission
We do NOT guarantee:
- That you will find a job or hire a worker through WorkaGH
- The accuracy, legitimacy, or safety of job postings
- That employers will respond to your calls or inquiries
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Ghanaian law, WorkaGH and its owners, employees, and affiliates SHALL NOT be liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Damages resulting from fraudulent job postings, scams, or illegal activity by users
- Personal injury, harm, or disputes between users
- Unauthorized access to or use of your information
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.
If you are harmed by a fraudulent job posting or scammer, your recourse is against that individual, not WorkaGH.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WorkaGH from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your job postings or communications with other users
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
13. Termination
WorkaGH reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including:
- Violation of these Terms
- Suspected fraudulent activity
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Technical or security reasons
Upon termination, your job listings will be removed, and you will not be entitled to a refund.
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from your use of WorkaGH shall be resolved in Ghanaian courts.
Before filing a lawsuit, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation with WorkaGH by contacting legal@workagh.com.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WorkaGH regarding the use of the Service.
